I live in Central Louisiana, may dad lives in Southwest FL.  I talked to him last night and he was telling how many hogs he sees on the sides of the road every morning on his way to work.  He has a 67 mile drive one way to work.  He said that he waits at a stop sign every morning and waits for an 18 wheeler.  He pulls in behind the 18 wheelers and stays behind them until he gets to his exit in order to use the 18 wheeler as a blocking device.  He told me a couple times a week he sees where a hog was crossing the road and a motor vehicle struck the hog.  He said he estimates that he sees almost 30-50 hogs a day on the sides of the roads just rooting under trees.

lol yes sir you would........the way its lookin with deer season i may not have anywhere to go BUT im workin on a honey hole from years past that is locked way back in the woods where the hogs don't run much.....only 2 ways in, 1 has a double gated high fence blocking it from one side and the other entrance happens to be a private gated road and I just so happen to be buddies with the land owners of that side......its not for sure yet but im doing my best, when I get the go nod I will holler at you, always enjoy hunting with new people.......

worst comes to worst we can always go tear up the buffet at al-t's  Grin

Yes that is what he was telling me.  He has made many friends with farmers, and a couple of Sheriffs/Mayors during his time working.

my dad is probly driving one of those rigs your dad is waiting on to block him. my dad drives a tanker and deceivers to all those ranches down there, its ate up with hogs.  he has hit a couple hogs crossing the highway. and like mentioned before you better work there or be the child of the owner or be a millionaire to be allowed to hunt.
