anyone use a staffordshire terrier for a cd?

i had one show up awhile back with no collar long lean muscled dog and very people friendly. I put her on  a big sow and she went nuts on it. when it rushed her. she never backed up at all but didn't lock down she just bit and snapped at its nose and head. I put her in three times but she did the same all three times. bayed the fire out of it until it rallied on her, then just alot of snapping.I know shes got some drive because she will kill my chickens with great zeal. I never really messed with pits and such before so I just wondered.the last two I helped start locked down immediately on bridge of nose or ear.

I've often wondered about them. Cool structured dogs... No idea though. I also have some hog dogs that are "chicken dogs" in there spare time... Tri-Tronics and I had a little tutoring session on why that wasn't such a good idea...

I gotta half running walker gyp that's 8 months old that slaughter chickens...guess she likes her chicken alil on the fresh side.

Yeah my pup came up to us dragging a chicken corpse and wagging her tail!! She was like "I did good, right dad?"

Most staffys I've had experience with were or became very dog aggressive over time

I got a half pit half staff that's a real good catch dog with absolutely no aggression to anything except hogs!

I have one and he's my main cd very good handle very laid back till he hears a bay then the light switch flips. Mrslousianahogdog has seen him in action

Good lookin dog. I love that build. It may be because the first catch dog I saw was built like that. I like the looks of a long legged lean muscled dog.

Yes sir he's is pretty long legged with a nice deep chest. He can run pretty quick to lop
