Yea I don't think it's necessary to display the interactions you dealt with. Everyone hears about this stuff daily, sounds like you did right and asked for a trail and didn't get one. Congrats on not getting screwed but no need to cry on the board. Jmo though
This is an open forum. I don't think the man was cryin bout anything just sharing how it all went down. You say there's no need for him to be cryin on the board. Well it's general discussion and I don't think there's any need for you to be spouting your opinion. Nowhere in his post did it say what's your opinion. You say there's no need for cryin I say there's no need for opinions whenever there not asked for. Your right it coulda been some nice older gentlemen and it could have been completely legitimate but the truth is we'll never know. The man was just venting and giving a friendly reminder to others that you have to be on your guard. No offense!!! 10-4, just for fun didnt you just do what you were preaching me not to be doing? lol well I don't know either party involved , but I have sold a few dogs in my day . and as well after talking to some of them I have just hung up on a bunch of them and refused to answer when or if they called back . a lot of folks looking to buy a dog are just plum idiots and I have better things ta do . maybe they thought I was a liar as well lol . not calling any body out just my past experiences in the wide world of the dog trade lol .

If you cant show the dog, or come along to show the dog, you dont need to be listing the dog. Trials are fine and dandy but I want to see the dog hunt with the person that is trying to sell him. I dont like putting 1500.00 - 3000.00 in someone elses hands that could be hard to reach or will not answer your phone call when your trying to contact about the dog or bring the dog back.
I have bought a few dogs on here, and to be honest both deals went smooth. Previous owner took me hunting the dog did everything he said he would, and money traded hands and we still talk daily today. I have tried several other dogs on trial some were not what they said, some wouldnt hunt at all.
All I ask is show me the dog and if he is as good as advertised that shouldnt be a issue. I will pay you what you are asking for the dog it your honest.... I didnt call anyone out, mention any names and if I offended anyone you shouldnt be reading a message board anyways.

So a "TRIAL" is no longer good enough on a dog advertised as strike, find, or finished!?!
If a man wants to buy your dog and you dont want to travel to HIS place, you've got to take him to one of YOUR spots to show him!?!

Mike....I hear what your sayin. I'm more referencing the guys where it's really not feasible for them to show their dogs in the woods, for whatever reason it may be. Doesn't mean they don't have good dogs or that their dogs aren't what they advertise. Sad they have to pay the price for people being knuckleheads.
I know it must be a pain for you MODS. Listening to people b$tch about getting screwed.
Thing is...if all these knuckleheads would just do their research, do a little homework, get some references, they wouldn't get took! Honestly....it's so dang easy, I just don't understand it.

I never got screwed, never said that I did. The two dogs that I bought off of here I am very pleased with them. The posters that had them listed, backed up their word and showed me what the dog could do with them behind the wheel. From a buyer side of things, if the so called knuckleheads would do the same we would all have a great dog exchange.
