This may seem strange but I was curious if anyone around Central Texas (georgetown, salado, round rock, Austin, Elgin, Taylor, etc.) have a catch dog I can borrow. I have 2 up & comin curs that are huntin pigs and they are all pigs we trap and turn loose so we know the size of the pig & what to expect. It would only be 2 weeks or so. The reason I'm asking is because we sell the pigs or stick em afterwards but we can't stick a pig or catch it without a dog on it. One of my curs will catch with catch dog. If anyone has one that they use but are to busy to hunt or it's an up and comer catching already that is being trained but y'all don't have time to work it much. I will pay 30 dollars just to borrow for 2 weeks, will take better care of it than my own. Just a thought, feel free to call or text 512-948-6967 if anybody has what I'm lookin for.

Biggest pig the dog would be on is 150
Pounds. There is a 355 pound boar out there but we don't ever catch him.

In keep it I'm talkin bout the dog, not the change. Definitely find someone to go with u and let them stay in charge of the CD.

This is funny cuz most people are scared to death to ask a buddy to run there dogs I got a buddy that we will switch out dog to each other but we been hunting and friends for over 25 yrs. the thing is if something happens to the dog you borrow it won't be good just find a free pit on Craig's list most pits will catch with little work and after that you will have your own dog

I have a pup that needs work. Also have three bulldogs. Send me a message with contact info. I am not going to let you borrow them but I can bring them out to do some work.

I borrowed a Good buddy's catch dog several years ago .... First hog I caught killed her I will never borrow a dog from anyone after that I tried to pay him for her, give him pups etc .  But he was ok with it and said stuff happens but I still feel bad about it to this day... So I wouldn't recommend it jmo

That would be my luck. I once took my best friends dog to the vet. His girlfriend went with me and after all the shots and money paid we get 2 miles from home and the dog bailed out the truck into the path of an 18 wheeler. I still feel bad about it and probly always will. If I don't have what dogs I need or if the owner and dogs that I need can't join me I won't hunt.
