Guys I need a better paying job than what I got. I'm in college 19 and trying to get my life going. I'm near the Beaumont area. If anyone has any suggestions on what I could do please let me know. Or if yall know of any jobs around my area. Needing a full time job,  25 hours a week ain't cutting it. Thanks in advance

I would tend to agree with this, especially by havin the piece of paper that says i paid a lot of money, look at me, im smart, possibly will help land more jobs. But at the same time, being a college student, jugglin school work, a job, flying leassons (its part of my degree, not just a joy ride), now tryin to get a license to be able to work on gen avn acft and helos, plus now that im layed off, how r the bills gonna get paid once my nest egg is gone. It takes money to live on, especially while goin to college, unless the person was born with a silver spoon in the buttocks.

Concentrate on school, more than work, but if u have to HAVE the extra money, look at cuttin an in class cr hrs, work a full time job n see about takin an online course that is inline with ur degree. Its hard workin full time n goin to school time n gets harder when daily living chores have to be done too.

Whats r u gettin ur degree in? Is there not a job that will give u hands on expierience, which will help better understand ur class work?
This a&p class has stuff in it that pertanes to bein a pilot at the same time, so by doin the mech class now, will help me pass my pilot written test, or if i woulda taken my pilot written, would help me pass the mech written tests. Im killin multiple birds with 1 stone by keepin my aviation degree inline with career fields.

What ever u decide, DO NOT drop ur school work, it will only ger harder the longer u wait.

Good luck to ya n stay in them books

Yep, thats what a guy who is down here gettin his license too is goin to school for and he is in a similar boat. Cant get a comp job w/o the degree and he dont hav any job related expierience for a tech job and Not sure if he got laid off yet, while his ex dumped the kids in his lap n popped smoke outa the state, doesnt hav any other job skills other than a computer geek with out a degree and a military helo mechanic with out this mech license we r tryin to get, which iv paid for $2000 of this class for him, just so he has a license to get a better job to take care of kids. I also gave up a $30hr job for the lesser payin job i got laid off from, bc a friends wife didnt get hired with the current contract holder, now even though i didnt like my old job n need it back, cant get it back bc i give her my position n there arent anymore positions available.

My family wasn't rich either not sure that's relevant? But I quit college to make faster money and regret it everyday that I'm out in this heat

You are young Josh...well younger than I am an I didn't go to college either......stay with it and bust ass.....it pays off, I promise. College and a degree are deffinentaly nice to have but it is not impossible to be successful and make a good living with out it Wink

If I was to go to collage I would get some kind of a engineering degree I know it takes a while but there is some much more opportunity in the job market!! With that being said I also agree that college is not for everyone and a lot of us make a good living with out going!!!

Agreed collage is good but never went , always have been the hardest worker , I liked to make anyone who worked beside me look lazy it was my goal , I started out as a laborer 20 yrs ago doing concrete , 9 bucks an hr , I'm a super now for a 50 million dollar concrete company , I'm at 70 thousand a yr now and going up , if you want to work hard there's always a way , there's plenty of room in the concrete trade , it's a dieing art for the white man , no one wants to work any more , it's out there if you want it , hook up and learn , don't be a lazy and before you know it you will be at the top ,
