welcome to the world of jagd terriers! You can stop them from it but it's going to be work. along with just about every other bad habit if they get by with it one time it's going to be near impossible to stop but if you can refocus their energy in a positive direction it can be done. Unless they hate a dog then one is going to have to leave your yard. my best dog was a jagd but as a pup he made blood shoot out my eyes regularly. He grew out of most bad habits but it may have just been because i put so much time into him that he understood english and wanted to please me so bad he couldn't stand it. a shock collar helped but only on the highest setting. If it is a bad fighter just shoot it and save your self the stress. I've owned several and they all tended to be dog fighters or killers i should say. but they are hunting little devils if you can get their head on game. I think getting plenty of ruff game will help channel the kill alot. shouldn't be owned unless you hunt them at least once or twice a week they are high prey drive enough to hunt all day everyday without getting bored.I wouldn't want another unless I waS hunting ALOT! tHEY ARE MADE TO HUNT PERIOD.thats all they think about or want.they get frustrated if they don't kill something and will make their own fun. once you get them serious about game they will stop or kill each other one of the two.

As long as you are hunting, evverything is fine, stop for a minute for a break, or reconsider your plans, and the dogs come back and just sitting around kindof chillin for a minute,, jagds will be fightin domething! They have to stay busy

jagds can be some really good dogs an a really strong pack dog but u have to keep them working all the time, I burned some of there energy using a fake metal pig to resemble a real one an the fake steel pig made them bay more then catching.. now this is just something i did to keep them controlled so when all 5 of my jagds where living in a 20x20 kennel they where while mannered an controllable to keep together!

I have a male and a female i kennel together. 2 males will have to be kenneled seperately or on chains, from my experience. Good luck,

We use to run curs with ours. Ours hunted just like curs, started them out on big hogs when they are young and they won't be near as catchy if you want them catchy let them catch in the pen the first few times and try to keep them from getting whooped for a while
