I made some corral style traps, they are 40 feet round, I used combo panels they are 52in tall.  had a 150lb sow jump out and went today to check it and hog tore one panel to pieces. I have to take hog out alive where trap is. Just wondering if anyone has same problem going to switch to the horse panels. also want to build some 4X4X8 traps wondering on what angle should use? want to keep it light. would 1/8 in thick be good enough? Thanks for any info?

try and get utility panels (4x4) and place t-post about 4' apart and maybe put some post in the ground in between, the get some 2x4 welded wire to put on the top facing inside the pen. this will help keep them from jumping out, i hope this might help you--good luck

If hogs have been trapped a lot in an area, many of them may not go into a 4 x 8 box trap. You will likely catch a lot more with your corral traps. As Rodeo said, lots of posts and 4 x 4 mesh panels 5 feet high will help a lot. Even so, you may have one escape occasionally.
