My buddy has been with me on about 15hogs with dogs now and called me wanting to try and film a couple and brought his bird/yard dog so she could watch some more. So I loaded up max and hoss and headed to the hills. Well we had just pulled in the gate when a small sounder ran across the road a few hundred yards up. I cut max loose and we ran up to where they crossed. He hit the track rolled out maybe 200yds and opened up let hoss go, caught hog. Pull max and hoss off and start walking I'm in the direction where we thought they were headed. Max started maxing a big loop back toward the dead pig which he's known to do after a long break. I'm getting ready to go back and pull him off when he all of a sudden opens. I wasn't sure what was going on. He's never barked at a dead hog but I still never know so despite my buddy begging me to turn him loose, I made the call to wait till I knew what was at the other end. We make it to about 75 yds and I hear him chopping hard....then a grunt! Let hoss go, another 100lb sow. Two down and still nothing on film. We get back to the truck to find that there would be no film as he brought a camera case with ammo in it thanks to his wife organizing things in the garage lol. Well we were already here so he pulled out his cell phone and we started moving...we get to a dry creek bed and max is at 600 treed. We get to the other side of the hill and sure enough he is hammering down. I drop hoss at about 150 and my buddy sandy(Chesapeake) and I follow him in. We hear a a fight and find hoss caught solo on a 80lb sow that hit sheep wire. I stick it and we can hear max hammering down 150yds on the other side of the tank. this is where my buddy being relatively knew to the sport learns a couple valuable lessons. 1st lesson when I say don't let your yard dog go...don't let it go. Second lesson, don't stick a hog before someone has a leg. Third lesson, you don't want to beat the catchdog there. fourth lesson, don't stab the hog like a jailhouse shanking. Well first he send his yard dog in because she finally wanted to go to the bay rather the hide behind us in watch. Not always a bad thing but not what I would. Anyways she goes in, not sure what happened but she yelps bloody murder and ran back to us tail tucked and limping. I stop and notice hoss is behind us on the garmin? My buddy sits down with sandy while I run back to find him stuck on the other side of the same dance line. Pull him over and send him in maxs direction. That when my buddy gets a little too excited and runs in only to find himself about two ft away from a 150lb boar coming down the tank damn with max on his ass and hoss right behind. He has enough time to let out a couple choice words before Max sits him down again and hoss gets there. Caught hog. I wanted him to finally stick one and after little instruction little help from my blade on ther other side he gets one stuck....I will say this he was the first to say after it was all over, I needed to keep the knife in the hog instead of stabbing it.Ding ding ding.  he was excited and I was satisfied and happy he was learning. no dogs got cut and he's ready to go again. Oh and he got bit on the foot somewhere in all of this. Got all shoe but hopefully enough to make him think twice. Anyways a good hunt and good food and bullchitn afterwards. Won't be long till we do it again

If u listen closely you can here max on the other hog

This is what he had
