Got home last night around 12 & had to use the restroom. Now usually I don't want to wake te family up so I don't turn the lights on. But thank god I turned the lights on last night. There was a SNAKE on the toilet. I screamed so loud & ran all the way across the house to my parents bed room. Damn near scared the heck out of them. My dad grabbed it & threw it over the fence in the back yard. I forgot to mention that I am deathly afraid of snakes. I still have not gone back to my bathroom. Thank good we have a few in our house lol. I also didn't realize that I had hit my toe on something and bruised it pretty good.

Just thought y'all migt get a good laugh from that.

I hope your daughter is doing better. I tell you what had I touched it I would have had a heart attack. I can handle a lot of things. But I don't do snakes.

Dodge the snakes are everywhere with all the rain weve had.

When i was a kid i went to check the mail and had a 6ft diamond back in the
Mailbox with the door shut.  Pigmy inside the front door, one under mom's pillow, diamond back net under the feed bin in the barn.  Coral snake on the hood of the jeep, i could go on all day!  Only good snake is a dead one!!!!

She got bit by a copperhead. She is almost back to normal now. She got really sick for about three days and couldnt eat or drink without it coming back up. These pics are from four days after the bite.

I am guessing it was not poisonous if he just threw it over the fence? I would get rid of the snake and then laugh at you. I have known a few people really scared of snakes. It just ain't funny. But after the snake is gone then I laugh at them.

It was just a corn snake. But boy my dad was laughing so hard he had the hold the counter so he didn't fall to his knees. I was so scared that I couldn't help but laugh.

Grittydog if the snake in my bathroom would have been anywhere near that size I would have moved out. There is no way I would be able to go back in our house.

Dang peachcreek. Where was the snake at? I'm glad to hear she's healing up, that must have been scary.

Peach,
I hope your daughter gets better. Did she step on the snake and it bite her or did it strike her right before she stepped on it? I hate snakes, kill em all

She stepped on it. Her goofy ars was out walking up and down the concrete driveway talking on her cell phone barefoot. I have warned her a million times...... she is one of those kids that absolutely  has to learn everything the hard way. Lol

Not all snakes are bad. Imagine the over population of rats we'd have if there were no snakes. Also, not all snakes are venomous....so it's quite a blanket statement to say the only good snake is a dead one.

Sorry I couldn't edit to add to my above post. We are all aware that these animals exist, and they've been here for thousands of years. Folks just need to be aware of their surroundings and pay attention, as these snakes don't go seeking out people to strike.....it's usually always out of defense. Venemous or not, they all serve a purpose, one of those being rat control as I mentioned already. I happen to keep non-venomous snakes as a hobby/passion aside from my dogs. They are not the demons that people make them out to be. Same concept as alligators. Here's a shot of a group of kids including one of mine handling some big bad monsters, lol (non venomous of course).

I understand and sympathize with those that get bit. It is very unfortunate, but as I said, 9 times out of 10, it's an accident due to the fact that someone stumbled upon one that they did not see there.....

They're all over our property around here. If I had one hanging out by my front doorstep that wouldn't leave, if I did not have the means to safely move the animal and release him somewhere back in the woods away from my house and dogs, I would dispatch one, sure. But do I blow the head off of any and every one I ever stumble upon out in nature? Absolutely not.
