The wife and I have been wanting to build for about 10 yrs. Have preliminary plans made up several years ago. Anyway, looks like we may be able to start shortly. We like the cypress logs. What type wood are the logs in your new home and what was the factor that led you to pick that type? Your home looks really good. I like the way the carport is attached. We have been trying to figure out what we could do for the vehicles and that looks like a very good idea.

Yes they are Cypress logs. They came out of southern Canada and supposedly come dryer than the colorado logs. So far we really like it.
