friend of mine and his 10yr old grandson both had their dogs shot.hunting for a man that gets him most all of his property to hunt.today they were on that mans property and he was with them.previously this week some dogs attacked his goats and evidently he told his son shoot on site.but fogot to tell him they would be hunting today.the 2 dogs smelled some domestic hogs he had and were barking through the wire.the mans son shot and killed both dogs.tragic and hard to handle situation.if you say much your pretty much outa places to hunt.there not easely had around here.  |

Bad situation but the man should do all he can to replace the dogs. To me that's only right.

I know that wont happen.this is the south. one will say il pay you what ever you think is right.the other ,no don't worry about it.i know the one dog he paid 250 for as a pup and had 750 in vet bills much less it was doing great in the woods.it wont happen.every body will bite their toungs.sad but true.and it sux.the father is prob.78yrs.old.he may have just forgot to tell him.

I said that someone had a little less character than I thought. I was trying to be nice in front of my 9 year old boy. He just looked at me and said, "daddy either a person has character or they don't."
Shooting a man's dog is not to be taken lightly. A mistake is a mistake but I teach my kids that when you make a mistake you man up and move on. But there just ain't no moving on until you man up.
Sounds like they ain't hurting for money so a few hundred dollars won't mean much to them but handing it over means a whole lot when it comes to character.

I didn't figure the man would shell out a couple grand but maybe he would pay for a couple pups or maybe some started dogs. Time will tell. Trying to sleep knowing what happens can eat on a man. Hope it all works out the best possible. As for it being the south well that's all the more reason for it to eat on him.
