Well currently laid up with both legs and arms swollen like the good year blimp. Was feeding chickens yesterday and moved a nesting box around in one of the pens. Next thing I know is I am engulfed in a tornado of the lil Yeller B@$*&rds. They chewed, bit and swallowed everything that wasn't screaming and and indian dancing round the chicken pen. Worst part is I couldn't slow down long enough to open the gate to get out. Something bout fine motor skills and all. And to top it off I was carrying on so...I scared the birds so bad that my ole white butcher said....Heck with this crazy man in my pen and went to tearing into my left knee cap. So......... there I layed on the ground......winded....the light fading.....Covered in Yeller Jackets.....My white butcher rooster shuffling on my knee and back....lying in a puddle of my own urine.....yea I ain't to big of a man to admit when I tee myself...hehe  When I heard the song lyrics to Rocky sound in my head......So I boldy stood up....opened the gate to the pen.........and ran screaming like a teenage school girl that just saw Justin Beiber...towards the house. Anyway. I finally found my man card that was in my wifes purse...and divebombed them fools with some gasoline, road flare topped off with a can of Tanerite explosive.  So here the lil wimps and their hive...in my plastic trophy case after the final glorious battle. Yall enjoy with a side of Hydrocortisone!    |

now that's funny. yea them jackets have been BAD!!!!!! this year. I think iv killed several hundred over the past month and they r still building nests any where in the shade. |

Nah. His therapist says he was just lashing out. Something about a side affect of ADHD with a touch of Hypertension. So I put him on ritalin and promoted him to lead Brood Rooster  |

Man that nest is huge,....no wonder they 'bout put you out of it. There's no telling how many were on it. Glad you survived and made it out alive......I hate yellow jackets!

That may be the biggest nest I have ever seen. Not to laugh at your misfortune, but that is a funny story (I guess just the way you worded it). Glad you're ok now, now tell them chickens to start eating them little B@$t@rd$ when they are around.

If that nest was buildt like that on top of each other ,and hiden behind something . I think those would be papper hornets ,twice as mean as a jacket and hurts like h-ll. There red and yellow but have a one piece body . I had some in a building , used a shop vac like the ROBENSON'S . Got all of them out with out gitting stung to many times. Those things hurt twice as bad as a jacket. Hope you don't have any bad reaction to the stings. WATCH OUT THERE EVERY WERE !!!!!!!!
