First and foremost, I would like to say rip to all of those who passed away on this tragic day. Today is certainly a day that will never be forgotten.
Second, thank you to those who are/ have served to keep this country Safe .Y'all are just incredible people.
But third, as we mourn this day & everyone talks about all the people who passed. Why aren't they thinking about the future? Why aren't they worried about what " their" president is dragging us into. God only knows what's going to happen or how many more people are going to lose their lives. Now maybe it just my age group 19-25 that maybe they don't know what's going on?. Now I mean no disrespect to everyone affected by this day, nor do I mean to take away from remembering them. But it's just something that kind of got me thinking.
Or maybe I'm just to young & don't look at it the right way.

Easy now, lol. You can't do it all at once. Politics...not just in our country, but world politics play a major role.
Support you country and your troops but Leave the Strategy to the Strategist. They've kept us on top for almost 250 years.

I agree let them handle their own mess as long as its within their borders. Once the smoke clears look at the result and then do what needs done. Once u decide what needs done don't half ass it. Hit them like a sledge hammer and make it count. Shotgun Arkansas

defend what borders Justin? our communist government wont enforce the current fed immigration policies and wont let individual states enforce or create their own policies. overseas is where the money is, both civi and military. I miss being deployed and trying to get back into shape to join the military again and to finish what I started back in 97. the downside to being over there is eatin sand all the time.

So....we post 100,000 troops on our Mexican and Canadian Borders....this could have stopped 9/11 right?
Lets put it in terms we can all understand.
Hogs are tearing up your cornfield. You have traps out but your not having any luck trapping them. You are pretty sure where they bed up at so your best bet is to send in the dogs.

Exactly. Take the fight to the enemy. I agree with having our troops hm, but i dont want the jihad war on my soil, being polluted by who knows what chemical weapons or dirty bombs. I know not 1 single 1 of ya want the fight on ur front door, so there for we wage war on their door steps.

I know some or most may not agree...but, didn't Japan attack on US soil and we gave them the ultimate counter punch? Why not do the same thing? Clear out that desert for good. Yeah yeah, some will say it would start a nuclear war. But, I don't think anyone out there really wants a piece of the US. What we need is someone in the big house with some sack. Everybody has an opinion...how would your opinion change if you were an elected official , nominated official or senior military officer and you were armed with intelligence, updates, and teams advising you. You may change your opinion, whatever it is. Always amazes me how much the average citizen thinks they know best, but they have no idea what intelligence and influence our government is under. I mean most of the people on this site that are commenting on troops fighting overseas have no information other than what they see on the news and I am here to tell you, the news is not always right. And, I fully support the government not telling citizens everything. I don't believe we have a need to know certain things.
I may not necessary like our Government Officials and leaders, but I respect senior officers and I trust there judgement. Even General Grade officers don't see the same every time. I'm all for sending troops overseas if it protects out countries best interests and if the fight is best for our global economy. The global economy is probably the one most important factor in the world.
