DWEST, that kinda war of "take the land u won" would make us look like the bad guys, then we place ourselves in the same boat ole hitler did by exiling Germany and fighting numerous countries at the same time. we r having hell fighting multiple fronts now, think if it was with numerous other high power countries. we have defended the rights of people to make the choice of joining the military or talkin chit about soldiers, we cant sustain the manpower. I do agree we stomp their sack into the sand, mud, snow or what ever terrain is there, but again, the world media is whats hurting our war fighting, along with gutless politicians who care more about their next reelection instead of taking care of business. u bring up a good point with Japan. after WWI we isolated ourselves, allowed other countries in the world to advance in airpower, naval and ground superiority that we were caught with our pants around our ankles during pearl harbor.
our politicians are bought and sold. they don't have the true power, the old saying of money talks and BS walks is true. the American citizen, who grants the government their powers to govern them should have the right to know what our government is blowing our tax money on, giving relief aid to countries who cant afford to tend to their people, let along payback the aid given to them. we keep giving our products away faster than we can grow/mine it, we wont have anything for ourselves, then this country will need the hand out.

So....we post 100,000 troops on our Mexican and Canadian Borders....this could have stopped 9/11 right?
Lets put it in terms we can all understand.
Hogs are tearing up your cornfield. You have traps out but your not having any luck trapping them. You are pretty sure where they bed up at so your best bet is to send in the dogs.
come on now,you got to admit we had a little to do with the hogs spreading, and, hell , it' good entertainment to hunt them. Plus they eat good. But as a North Carolinian they aint much I don't like about a hog. So to me your comparison is pretty weak, I say let them rag heads fight it out amongst themselves, we got plenty of problems right here to worry about. When they come down here be time to fight again. Hell they can have Mexico and Canada, I'll throw in New England and California. You young boys might not see it, but that fight's coming, all 's needed is to figure out who we're fighting this time around.

Good point Charles, but I'm the kind of gut that doesn't really give a F what someone else might think of me. I'm not saying go whoop on someone just to take what's theirs, but if they step up to us they better be ready to get stomped. To me that is the mentality that built this country...let us be, and we are good, but you F with us and we are gonna punch t poo u in the mouth

I fully understand kevin and charles and you both should know I have nothing but respect for the men and women who do it. I know it'll never happen and I know why ......because our chicken chit government doesn't want it to, we are too vested in the middle east to back out now but wouldn't it be nice to live in a place where we had no enemies and all we had to worry about was ourselves? ......just wishful thinkin fella's.

You young boys might not see it, but that fight's coming, all 's needed is to figure out who we're fighting this time around. Maybe I misunderstood you. You say the fight for Mexico and Canada is coming? If you know your history...you know that our country would never stand for ANY hostile government occupying bordering countries. That basic principal was established way, way back before the first Great War. People talk about "minding our own business" and pulling ALL our troops back inside our borders. That's just unrealistic. We've let the world govern itself and a lunatic starts taking over Europe. If we do it again it would be a lunatic taking over the Middle East. Which in turn would lead to more and more terrorist attacks. Then were back in again...spilling blood....again, fighting for ground we secured once already. IMO the best thing we could do would be to establish permanent Army/Air force bases in Iraq and Afghanistan (like we did in Europe after WWII)
