someone will have to open an acct for him or get him to. if it is linked to paypal even better. Because its for an individual, and not for benefit of the general public its not considered a charity so doesnt have to meet the same guidelines. Mr. Bennet or a family member would be best for opening the acct. I think we can raise a good bit of money for Mr. Bennets boy. I have never met Mr. Bennet in person but anyone that ever speaks of him speaks highly.

that is a dang good point, just if everybody donated just $5 that' would be $31425. That alone would be a huge help. And im sure that majority of us would donate more then that. I think that is the best idea yet...

Id be in!

Mr. Bennet I think highly of you and I understand you can sell your dogs and your gear to help your boy out. I have a two kids of my own and would do anything in the world for them. But In my opionion as much as I hear about how good of a guy you are and you are always helping somebody out in some way. I think its time for us to repay the favor, im a firm believer that the more you help out in life the better you will be treated. I read a lot of your post on here and even tho I have not met you personally I would still be willing whatever I can do to help out. I went thru something similar with my dad a few years back and it was hard on the hole family. I had good people across the state helping us out, people that I never knew in my life, it helped us out in so many ways, So I only feel right helping out when people need help especially in these circumstance. Please keep us informed as much as possible and let your boy know that ill have our church say a prayer for him and your family as well.

I say let's have a 24.hr hunt next weekend.  I don't see any reason why we should wait until deer season is over that.  that's 4 months away.  when there's an emergency means RIGHT NOW to me.  make some buckles and I'm sure somebody has so.e gear or something to throw In for 1st and 2nd place..  let monty have all the hogs that are caught he knows a buyer just cause there's 6000 somethin people o. the board don't mean they all gonna donate.  we can do that and the hog hunt. jmo

yea but if you just try to throw a hunt togather all of sudden usually leads to a disaster or disappointment. im with you id rather do a hunt then just donate, but I think in this case its gonna be hard to find many teams to hunt. I wish it was so easy to just get competititon started

I just dont think one could be thrown together in a week, and I also work next weekend so it definetely wouldnt work for me if I was planning it.  There are 3 dates that I have in mind.  October 26th, January 18th, or January 25th.  Excluding deer season weekends, those are the best dates i can have to set it up.  I like the fact of having it after the season, but also agree that 4 months is a long time.  October weekends are a little warmer, I work 2 Saturdays during October and am in a wedding 1 saturday as well, so the 26th is all that would really work if I am doing it.   Hate that its set up that way, but I also think I would need atleast a month to get everything going good because like Heavyhitter says I couldnt agree with more that throwing one together leads to a disaster, disappointment, confusion, and makes people look like idiots IMO.  i want this to be set up well and run smoothly.  I want people to not have to come to a check in but to have their teams money, names, team name, side pot money, everything in place no later than 4-5 days before the hunt if you do not come to check in in person.  I have made a set of rules for the most part already and if you have been to Randy Bumpers or read them, theyre damn near the same.  I have never been to it, but heard its always exceptional and runs good and never have heard anything negative on their rules.

Catchin for Kegan?? Run'n for red?? We need a name!!

Guys, weve all got dogs that have been slowed down and chained up since last winter. Why don't we do a benefit bay, to get the dogs out of the pen and fired up??? Do the bay now and do the hunt after deer season? Lets find a roping arena in the dallas area (Central area for everyone), and make this happen! Whos the go-to bay pen guy? Lets get him in to help organize. If we get a roping arena, weve got turnouts (Bucking chutes), parking, seating, and lights. Im in Abilene, and have the perfect spot I would be willing to donate, but most of yall are east texas guys. Paypal is an awesome idea as well.

I think you can do a baying or a hunt. But you still need to set up a account for people like me you work 24 hour call with no schedule can donate. I have been on this job 21 days and still may have a week or more till I get off and will only be off 7 or 8 days. I know I am not the only one that works like this so that's why I like the account idea. Mr. Bennet I will pray for your family!!! I had a grand daughter that had a similar heart problem that  fixed itself. Thank god hope the same works out for you and your family.

Hello , this is Jennifer.  Im Monty s wife.
I want to saying......well really i dont know were to start.
I guess I'll start with saying A very big thank you. I do not have the words to say how very blessed monty and I are from the kind words, well wishes, and prayers that have been sent our way.for those of you who don't know Kegan, let me tell you a couple of things. Kegan has always been what we have affectionately called him our grouchy old man stuck in a kids body. we always knew that Kegan didn't play like most little kids. He never played with toys until we got him a bull riding set and hog hunting toys. when he finally was old enough to go hog hunting was around the same time he started muttin busting. Monty and I watched our son finally find his place in the world. He went from this shy, withdrawn, unsure little boy to this bigger than life kiddo. When  he got into school is when we realized how much trouble he was really having. So after alot of doctor s and testing. ... they finally diagnosed Kegan.  Kegan will be 10 on October 19. We were hoping that we could get to his 10th birthday without having his 10th surgery.  That's still our preyer.
With all of his struggle s and corks, Kegan is 1 of the best kids you will ever meet. If I do say so myself...  We are blessed beyond words. He still bosses his twin sisters around at every chance. He says its cuz he is older than the sisters as he calls them.
There is nothing in the world that matters more to Kegan van hog hunting. Except for maybe his mama lol.
I will close this in saying that we're grateful beyond words. I thank you all. My God bless u all. Truely my cup runith

I had the pleasure of hunting with Monty and Kegan a year or so ago on the wounded warrior hunt up there and I will say they are some of the best folks I have ever hunted with. Both of them are just as nice as anyone can be and Kegan is a heck off a hand in the woods.

Someone get an account set up for them and share it on here. I have a feeling we are not the only ones that feel that way about them...
