Picture of my great grandfather Hollis Lewis with his horse tex in the back of his jeep. He would drive from west Columbia to Brazoria with the hose loaded in it. He is the one in the taco looking hat. Thought some of y'all might enjoy this

Why should I trade one tyrant three thousand miles away for three thousand tyrants one mile away? An elected legislature can trample a man's rights as easily as a king can!

Great picture. My grandpa used to have a horse that they hauled around on a 2 1/2 international flatbed in the 50's and 60's. They said it would just jump up and ride back there like a dog. He said they lost him on a corner one time, but he just got up and jumped back up there. He could also jump a fence like a mule. Ill have to see if I can find a picture.

Saw a video somebody in Texas I think on my Facebook posted of a guy with a horse just standing on a 16' utility trailer going down the highway. Whatever gets the job done I guess.

That is really a neat old picture. To me it looks like those two dogs were pit bull terriers , the good ones.

He has got some big guns on him too. Betcha he never lifted a weight in his life.
This has been nearly 50 years ago now. I saw a guy load a horse in an old narrow bed chevrolet pickup. He just dropped the tailgate and told him to get in and he did. It was down near Mason.

Thanks guys, I figured there would be plenty that enjoyed seeing it. I hear stories about him all the time from back alley fights to hauling his horse to rodeos in a dump truck. Rough old WWII and Korea vet. Would have liked to meet him

In Puerto Rico that is how they haul there horses around. They ride there on the weekend and you will see 100 horses and not see the first horse trailer.
