Buying Feral Hogs In Central Texas

I got a 7 month old Blue Lacy two weeks ago. My wife and I took him out last night for his first hunt. We kept him on the truck till the other dogs started to bay then cut him loose. He ran like I shot the bay and dove right in....my wife was proud of boy! We are both now hooked and can't wait till the next hunt! What a rush!

glad you had a great time your first time out...heck it took me 5-6 times before i was able to get a hog...lol...was still hooked though....it's addicting...

Robert, glad you had a good hunt. I wish I could of been there but I had others plans that night. It only took one hunt for me as well to be hooked. Thanks to Mike and Steve.

Just got another dog last night a 5 1/2 month old Blue Lacy female. Halo now has a partner we are gonna try and put them both in the bay pen tonight to see what she can do. My wife told me this is it........for a while  . |

I now the feeling. I could give a crap about deer season this year. All I can think about is when am I gonna get invited again!!! My wife is wearing me out so if anyone wants to take a female along please let me know. |

congrats...i can remember the first hunt i went on they bayed up a 220-230lb boar. i was a little nervous to leg the thing to be honest. lmao
it's definitely addicting though, and a ton of fun.

yes its always gr8 to hear of new people gettin hooked to our sport, i was prob 6 yrs old and the first time my dad brought home a hog and i got to help him skin it i wouldnt let him leave the house again without takin me i was already hooked, and now i throw a fit if i kow someone who is goin and i cant go.. but ev1 is right the dogs will start rollin in!!!
