I go pheasant hunting in South Dakota every year at Thanksgiving. All I can say is that cold takes on a whole new meaning in South Dakota. When the wind starts blowing it is not joking either.

Been working in North Dakota for four years. If its a bad winter and you haven't been through one up here, your in for a real treat. The last 2 have been rather mild.

I grew up in Stanley and yes the winters used to keep the riff raff out but this oil boom has sure attracted them. If you ever go south of Stanley on 8 stop and say hi to my niece at the Belden Stop. I like the winters here in Washington better. Although the best part of my winter is the month in Texas.

You can tell her hi from her Uncle Joel. She does serve food and there aren't many good places to eat around there.
