Justin...if you need to place some dogs just make sure to get a breeding of choice out of the best you have that will have to go...that way when you get back in the game you will not have to start from ground zero...having access to the bloodline is about 3/4's of it...
Reuben, thanks for the advice. I called the man that 95% of my dogs came from and told him what happened, he sent his brother in law over that evening to grab what he could.... He took my little red bmc gyp i raised named "roo" and one of my 2 remaining smoke x bonnie pups. JoshStokley is taking bonnie from me also. I should be good to go when the time is right down the road to start over again. I have placed females from these dogs with people I trust and I luckily have the option to go back to the source for a couple more when the time is right, i consider this a bump in the road......a sucky but necessary bump lol. I just can't justify having danielle feed dogs i can't use for the next few months and i wouldn't feel right to even ask her, dealing with me and my little one is a full time job as it is!

I hope you get to feeling better soon. That sucks when somebody wrecks into you. At least you get to keep your main dogs..

Hey. Buddy, wat'd they decide about your pelvic fractures? You gonna be good to heal up without surgery?

Went to the doc today, good news and bad news.......good news is no surgery is required to heal, the bad news is that my pelvis is not fractured, it is broken and my recovery time is a bit longer than i wanted to hear. Im looking at 8-12 weeks to return to work and 3-4 months to recover completely........
Hey im alive and I will heal, can't complain too much, could be much worse!

Glad you missed the surgery! I've worked with a orthopedic trauma surgeon in the past and did ALLOTTA fractured pelvis' ,, from car wrecks usually. It's a BIG operation, i'd imagine a long recovery time too. Really glad you dodged that bullet. We'll keep praying for a sppedy recovery.

I ain't been on here in a few days. Man I prayed as soon as I started reading. Man I sure wish the best for you and your family. I guess God was looking out for the other people and you. But you even said you would have been better in the truck but not them, It shows a lot to care about someone that caused all this to you. It don't sound like you need prayers. It sounds like I want to to be more like you. But I will be praying for y'all any ways.

Similar thing happened to me yesterday, well minus an accident. I actually stopped completely at the stop sign, checked my right and then left, left direction tck was turning, I checked my right again, started pulling out, and wam, there was an suv coming fast, but i was already in the lane for the left direction cars, so I went ahead n floored it. I had plenty of room, just didn't want to get caught in the middle of both lanes. all this thanks to a tree that is forward and right of the stop sign, where p/u tcks cant see good, but cars are fine bc they sit lower than the branches.

Yup I ain't talking about being mad just the forgiveness when you are in pain and put in a bad place. We all do stuff every day. But I see people every day getting mad about the dumbest things and I think that they need to re-think what is important. But we all also get mad at people too. With reason or not we get mad. You helped to realize that I need to be quicker to forgive even when I do have good reason to be mad.

Now may be a good time to get into archery
all upper body and the squirrels would make a great target, the only problem is retrieving the arrows. It sounds like you have a great attitude about the whole ordeal. Still praying for a good recovery for you and comfort for your family in this trying time.

Find someone else in a chair and have races. That is what I did in the hospital and drove the nurses crazy. When we got crutches we raced with those and learned some tricks too. But I was younger then and around a bunch of other crazy guys with no wife or family to worry about me or me to worry about. Just get yourself a good pellet gun and drop some squirrels then have your other half go get them and cook them
Arrows would be fun too just use judo points so you lose fewer arrows.

Lol yea guys you would think that archery would be good to go but as of today i still can't even draw my 55lb bowtech assassin back without discomfort in my hip, it may have to do with the wheelchair.......believe me ive tried, im a big time bowhunter, (in all honesty i am pretty bummed about about the timing, i put alotta work into my lease this year and now all i can do is hope my target bucks live til next season) i prefer bow hunting to just about any other type of hunting, its addicting! Hell guys it sucks....its no secret lol BUT its hard to be mad knowing what could have happened and how relatively unharmed i was....a hip can be replaced a life cant. I appreciate the continued well wishes..... Aside from not being able to work or even leave the house for that matter it hasnt been bad, ive gotten to spend a lotta time with my little girl and her momma and the weather has been great for back porch sittin.....its nice to be able to slow down for a bit.

My cousin had a similar accident happen but it was due to fog and the lady was disoriented. It happened about 5 years ago and he still can't work. He had severe brain damage and forgot pretty much everybody and everything. He had lost all use of his right side but has gained most of it back over time. You are right it could have been much worse. He is doing better and can remember stuff now but he will never work and never be the same man he was before. Keep up the positive attitude. Sorry to hear about not being able to use the bow.

See now you need a good pellet to keep the squirrels in check. You might need help cocking it but it is not 55lbs to break one and load it. It is amazing how all things are connected and it hurts to do most anything.
