iam new to cats wanting to give them a fair shake can anyone one here give me the good and bad on em and whats some goodlines to start with

Same as any other dog basically. You got good ones and bad ones. Personal preference in what you like.

I think it's going to be hard to find a specific breed that throws cold nosed dogs. All dogs within a breed do different things. If you want a cat that does that your gonna have to look for one that hunts that way

check with Halfbreed on here...he breeds hound and mt cur in some of his for better nose etc...

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog... A hunting dog is born not made...

I'm from the north, but most of the time I have hunted it has been with cats. My buddy on here Scott breeds them. From what I have seen they are medium range dogs that circle back. Good for hunting smaller plots of land if you don't have permission to hunt neighboring grounds. If you like longer range dogs that will take colder trails, hound dogs or hound or birddog blood are good for that.
