Well, even the yotes are gettin on the welfare! Put out cheap dog food for the foxes n coons,,, then this guy shows up! I figure he'd make a cool full mount, but as sure as i shoot him, signs with his picture will go up,,,""HAS ANYONE SEEN OUR LOST DOG?"",,, have ya'll seen any Obama -yotes in Texas? Wat ya'll think? Just a mutant color, dog- yote hybrid or just someone's dog looks like a black coyote? Also, got about 5 other yotes showed this morning to feed, Blackie wasnt with those yotes, 3 pictures of him, daytime, he's always solo.

If that is someone's dog I'm surprised he's made it this long and they might need to look at getting him a bright orange collar but I don't think its a pet. I seen one the other night standing under a street light almost in town so they will act a little crazy every now and then

That is a yote, plain & simple. They show up black every so often all over the country. My buddy shot one a couple of years ago just like that one. I will dig out the pic. & post it.

Yea, his features are yote to the max, it's just the paint job that threw me. Got a bad feral cat problem out here and i think the coyotes feast on them. And since this bunch of 5 or 6 have been coming to the food i put out, my dogs have been acting bizarro. The wind will blow from the east and my pens are lined up along a crest, 12 big pens running probably 150 yards from first to last. Well, dogs in first pen will raise h3!! At the east end of their pens, then in line, all the way down to the last pen, like something is moving down in the eastern valley and as its scent hits, they go nuts. Thought it was pigs at first, now,, i'm wondering if it aint the coyotes. And where i bait is another 200 yards down from the pens, so they could be headed to or away from it. Hey, are the Texas coyotes as tall as this guy looks? I swear, these coyotes sure look bigger than i thought they average, .

That one even has a white flash on his chest! Wonder if that's a recessive trait u see in more inbred populations of coyotes?

other than the color he looks pure to me...
I live in town next to the RR tracks and an open field and this time of year the coyotes hang around and my dogs will raise some cane every time they come around...

Red wolf coyote hybrid. Red wolves thought to be all but extinct have been known to breed with coyotes. There were blackish ones as well as red.

Red wolves were/are between the size of a coyote and a grey wolf.

Knock it out T-Bob, but if it goes viral, I'll expect a royalty check! That's an Alabama yote, so dont try to claim he's from Texas!
