I lost my Hunter dog today... he would have been 5 next month. Hunter was a Tweety/Winchester grandson and sure turned out to be a good one. He found and bayed his first hog at 9 months old and never looked back. I bred him to my Lucy gyp a couple weeks back, hopefully she takes and I'll have a few more pups out of him.

RIP my friend...

Sorry buddy, he was sure a pleasure to hunt behind. Been waiting since I heard it elsewhere, hoping it was a nasty rumor. Hope he went doing what he loved but I understand if you don't want to talk about it. Hope Lucy took. He'll be damn hard to replace. RIP Hunter, keep baying for the almighty.

Mr. Bolen that's some real sad news I was really hoping he'd pull through. Your Hunter dog has been a HUGE part of every hunt you've taken me on and I sure hope some of these young dogs of yours turn out to hunt just as hard as he did.

Hunter and Tweety .. Picture taken on my first hog hunt ^

I wish I had more pictures of Hunter and the hogs he's put me on but but he would never stay around after the hog was caught it was always on to the next one. Truly an amazing hunting dog
