So me and my wallet was thinking about dog food earlier. Well I currently feed star pro high energy 24/20 but from August to January my dogs don't get to hunt at all. I thought about only feeding the star pro during the times they hunt and using something less expensive for the months they don't hunt. Any of yall do this or what are yall thoughts?

I feed the same feed year round. I do adjust for running non running times by keeping an eye on their weight. They gain I cut back. They get back to proper size I feed a lil more . Takes a bit at times to get amounts lined out.

It is always rough on a dog to change their diet. Feed less or feed a food that is made by the same producer with similar ingredients to help make it easier.

Well they aren't getting fat off it by no means. I wormed them good today, that could be why.
