Awesome looking Catahoulas on this thread!! Big blocky heads, heavy muzzled, and solid set of legs on all of em. Almost can look past the spots on dogs that well built.

Got him from a friend. He is out of a male Cat from Texas and a Fl Leopard Cur. The style you say you want to hunt you should try some Fl Curs. iMOA.....

This is Axman. 4 yrs old. He has only barked in the woods about 15 times, and most of those barks were on a hog that he never got his teeth on. The Garmin has kept him alive for the time being. He casts decent by himself but will rollout with company. Better than average nose for a Cat but less bottom than my other dogs. Handles great and is a pleasure to hunt. Knock on wood, I've only had to staple him up twice out of the 100 or so hogs he has caught. Here are 3 of the biggest boars he soloed this year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Axman is a half dennison bred catahoula and his weight hangs around 75lbs. He is one of the bigger cats I've hunted around. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Straight catch, kind of a bad combination with her long range!

She is out of a local bloodline here from Florida. Pretty tight bred, gentleman I bought her from few years ago hunts all his cats close to med range on the river here. She ranges out 2-3 miles on average if there is no sign closer. I haven't been running her much lately because a lot of my areas are too small and have major roads within a mile or two. My fl curs suit my style of hunting a lot better, even though they will run a hog that far, they typically only range a mile if nothing is around. She is perfect for some of the larger areas I run maybe 10 times out of the year.

I have one. He bayed and caught with another dog for about 3 years. Now he only catches. I can hunt him one out, send him to a race, or send to a bay. He also winds off the boat. My wife tells me the dog is smarter than me.
It will take me a bit to load a picture, they are still on my phone, and it's been a while, but will post soon.
He was sold as a registered Catahoula, with no papers. He looks like a Cat/Bull mix to me. Big dog 75-80lbs, with a block head.

He caught and held this hog for my Buddy until the bulldog got there to help. I was at work and did not catch this hog.

Scott, not to be misunderstood. The dogs daddy is a Denison dog and his mother was a Cat, but I don't know her exact lineage. He's all Catahoula. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk10-4, I probably wasn't clear. I didn't doubt your dog was str8 catahoula. I own some denison blood too...rough as a cobb.
