I've never used people meds on dogs. I've heard ibuprofen is not good to use.

Cajun...you use it often?

1/2 a childrens benadryl for allergic reactions.  Acetaminophen (tylenol) is toxic to dogs and can cause death.  Canine digestive systems dont tolerate aspirin very well.  NSAID drugs designed for dogs (Rimadyl) are a much better option, however not available over the counter.

Dexamathasone is a steroid...totally different, and should NEVER be used in conjunction with a pain reliever.

Benadryl /  if u could find it sulfameth/trimethoprim Antibiotics works really good but not over the table and really strong for dogs so only use when needed on bad/naste wounds...

Dexamethasone is a anti inflammatory and if the pain relief needed is due to inflammation then it will help with pain. It can be used to treat many different conditions. Google dexamethasone for dogs it will tell you the conditions you can treat

Eh...Justin I had a bulldog get cut up pretty bad. I used up all my leftovers so I was just checking around. I didn't see anything I liked in the responses so he's off the pain killers. Anyway....Wouldn't want him to develop a dependency  Grin

He's got about 5 days left of cephalexin. But I don't think that will be enough so I'll need to refill it...or at least see what the Doc says.

Young Emmett was messed up pretty good but he's still alive and seems to be recovering nicely. Tough sum BIATCH!
