Well my lovely wife got me the sharpener for Christmas and I must say I like it! I started out with a few of my cheap pocket knives before I tried my good ones. I started with the medium belt and will admit I wasn't as impessed as I hoped to be. It got them sharp, but not what I was hoping for. However, after the med belt, I switched to the fine belt and holy cow, I don't have a hair left on my left arm.  Between pocket knives and kitchen knives, I probably sharpened 20 today. And got them much sharper, much faster than I have ever been able to before!!

Adjustable guide, adjustable belt rpms, wider belts, and more grit variety on belts are the big things if I remember correctly.
