i got some of my buddies from school to come help me out this weekend down on the ranch. i havent been huntin in the past two weeks because blew ot my knee. Anyways we were down on the the bonanza ranch this mornin with my two buddies Schumann and d-ram. we took thr dogs(boy, hagen, shooter, max) out we made couple of runs the dogs were workin great we got on a few pigs but we could never get them stopped after the last run the dogs were lookin pretty tired hagen had run at least 4 miles on the gps so i called a mornin. about three hundred yards from camp all of the sudden hagen opens up in the bed of the truck first time so i backed the truck up about fifty yards when heagen opened up again and off went hagen boy and max we were comin up onto the bay 300 hundred yards later when a hog crosses the road right in front of me well buddies tell me that they herd max catch about hundred yards down the road were the bay was . than you could hear the boar so i told schumann to let shooter off the lead while buddies are haulin tale to the catch i see that boy has rolled out when shooter got there on the gps and is trailin the hog that crossed the truck. well at the catch d-ram has made his first stick on a 90 lb pig. later i see that boy trailed the hog for about 500 yards before he was worn out and came back to the original bay. it was a fun hunt with some newbies that helped out was a little worried if they were up for the hunt but the they came throughand i appreciate there help. soory about not having any action picks because of me the gimp couldnt get there in time.

Luke,  You could pass that last pic off as a hunt down under, the Aussies are always barefoot and shorts, the terrain looks pretty close too.

Good looking dogs and nice pics. Thanks for posting up.  Looks like ya'll were hunting the desert country of mesquite and cactus. How do the dogs smell anything in the south Texas desert?

Luke,
Not bad for a one legged gimp ha Ha.  Looks like you have some pretty good help.  I am glad to hear the injury hasn't slowed you down.  Sounds like Hagen & Boy are starting to figure everything out.  Opening off the truck and rolling out is not bad for those young dogs.
