So I traded a pup for a knife today and would like to know what yall think. Maybe you that make knives could kinda tell me the value of it. It's well built. Man said he got it from a knife maker at the Alamo. He said he paid $125. What yall think?

you will find it's true value through it's use...
if it gets the job done, easy to sharpen, and stays sharp it may well be worth it.
it eats less than a puppy, i know that much is true.

To me u can be the only one to decide if it was worth the trade. The reason I say this is because I wouldn't have paid $125 for the knife at the Alamo or from anywhere else. I am too cheap to pay that much so it isn't worth that much to me. U or others on here may have paid $250 for it. If that is true u got a deal. That is the thing about horse trading. Value is determined by the ones doing the trading.

yeah I probably wouldn't pay it either. I was kinda wanting to know what yall thought the value of it was. I didn't know the man from Adam. I didn't mind taking the trade because I wanted the pups gone.

I make a few knives and I will tell you this. I don't sell em, I give them to friends and donate them to good causes for fundraising BUT if I was sellin them you wouldn't get it for $125. I would be workin on it for less than $10 an hour. I just couldn't ask the price I feel it's worth so I don't sell them. There are a few on here who have em and I don't think they'd give em up.

if it truly is a hand made knife of high quality then it is a good trade...some knives from Pakistan and other countries look great but are junk...

I guess there's no way to tell. It feels really well built, has a real nice weight to it. I was only selling the pups for $50 so he must have just not wanted it or thought he ripped me off lol either way I don't care I wanted the pups gone.

Does it have a makers mark on it anywhere ? I would say you did fine on the trade if all you were wanting for the pups was $50. I couldn't tell you what it's worth without knowing who made it.
