I've saw some of yall on here post that you use it and I'm thinking about switching over. It's $21 at tractor supply. Anyone recommend the stuff or feed it?

Used it for a few years. Dogs did great on it. I have a male cur that has skin problems that flares up and I switch feed and he clears up.  Feeding Sportsmix black bag now, but I think Retriever blue bag is a good feed in my experience.  It is important to feed about 4 or 5 bags of any feed before you make an opinion on it.  Don't get caught up in all the polls on here about "what feed is the best", then switching feeds based solely on that. Find
a feed that works for YOUR dogs. What works well for yours might not work for mine. I know we all have to try and balance cost with quality but it is what it is.

I'll be the outlier... I fed it for about a month and hated it... Cleaning kennels was like cleaning up baby poop. The dogs looked like hell. They ate it, but Poop was horrible and their hide was like straw. I know alot like it and that's bada I wish it would of worked for me. Would of been A LOT cheaper!!!

I will second what Wine said. I fed it during the summer when the dogs were not doing much & they all looked great. Once I started running them hard, I could not keep the weight on them.
I know Diamond Hi Energy is not the best food out there but when I switched back to it, it only took a week to see the difference.Like said above, they seemed to poop 3 times as much on Retriever.

This was my experience as well. My dogs stool smelt horrible and was never solid, they all looked bad and they did not have the go that they do on sportsmix. And YES i really could tell a visible difference in my dogs hunting performance when i switched to sportsmix, especially in my older dogs.

Im glad it works good for ya'll, wish it did for me too lol
