WELL just to give hope to everybody that has lost a dog THE DUKE WAS RECOVERED  a couple weeks ago . a man on this board wound up with him and was as honest as the day is long and called me after seeing the add . apparently he went through several hands before winding up in central texas

now to get busy and finish off the original thief  ,    and  A BIG THANK YOU TO AN HONEST DOG MAN ,  I wont mention any names but THANKS  .

Glad to hear he was recovered. Had a similar interaction a couple years back, A member of this board hit me up about a dog I was selling "needing a find dog badly" met and sold him my dog, while I was selling the dog he was trying to sell me a gyp he had in his truck saying she was a "true hogdog" "jam up" and all that nonsense, not a month later there was a post on here about a guy looking for his dog that his "buddy" "lost"..........come to find out it was the same dog that the guy tried to sell me and another member on here from my area, I spoke with the man who really owned the dog for over 30 minutes on the phone tellin him everything I knew.......never did find out if that fella ever got his dog back, sure hope he did though, seemed like a nice guy from our conversation. Shortly after I was offered that dog I was asked to post a lease in the classifieds for him, tryin to be nice I did and within a day of posting it I got an eye opening phone call from a well known and liked member of this site regarding the guy .........come to find out there were some PISSED off fella's lookin for that dude who were lookin for alot more than money if you catch my drift. Karma is one bad mofo, may not catch up to em today or tomorrow but sooner or later it will!

Glad yall got him back. I lost a good strike dog back in Jan. 2006, didn't get him back until the end of April. One phone call to the right person can change 4 months of frustration and dead ends.

That's great you got your dog.  Does he seem to be the same dog does he seem like he knows he's home.  No telling how they hunted or abused the dog all dogs respond different to different people you know what I mean just wondering ?

Mr Whitten, i like a dog that aint gonna let someone just wail on him. Sounds like a great dog and glad your people got him back. Some folks dont like a dog that'll take up for itself, but i like one that'll take correction, but knows when the lines been crossed and sez " enough is enough"
