Thursday I went and filled my deer feeder up and swapped out memory cards in my came camera. Checked the card and saw that a couple hogs had been showing up every night, so we decided to go there Friday morning. Brought one strike dog and a younger dog, plus two catchdogs. As we were walking up to the feeder, Hoss, the stike dog was working out a trail and as he made it to the brush with his nose on the ground, I told my buddy we would hear a bark in 15 seconds. Well I underestimated Hoss b/c it only took 10   Grin. He only got in a few barks and the hog broke. We took off in his direction and about 200 yards from the initial bark we could see a hog swimming across a tank with two dogs in tow. Once the hog got to the bank, he either had little respect for dogs, or was just dumb because he sat and waited for the dogs to get to him and by that time we were on the tank dam, waiting to release the cds. Ended up catching him in waist deep water. Nice young boar hog that weighed 192#.

Saturday we got the whole group together and hunted a place that hasn't been touched since the contest. About an hour into the hunt the dogs struck and we caught a nice Boar that weighed 212#. As we were getting cds off the first hog, two dogs had rolled out and were baying. Long story short, that hog broke and the dogs finally got it stopped 1.7 miles away. Ended up being about 150# boar. We don't think the second hog was the one that was originally struck, b/c the dogs we had would have caught, but who knows, We have heard stories of big smart boars running to other hogs to get away from the dogs, so that's what we like to think happened  Wink Grin Didn't get any pics of the second hog. I think the boar from this hunt was the twin brother of the boar from the Friday hunt.
