hello ETHD new to the site. been hunting with dogs for about 4 years now, and its still as exciting as the first time. i've been reading post for the last couple of months, and its amazing how everyone seems to be more than glad to help out when a fellow hogger has a need for guidance. i'm not a dog peddler ,but i have sold one or two dogs in the past. but it just blows me away how some people are willing to take a dog out on a trial run, and when it comes time to pay for the dog they don't seem to be able to come up with the money. they try to string you along for weeks and come up with one excuse after another. my question to you guys is there a right way to repo the dog back, any steps or suggestions would be appreciated. any good or bad experiances on the subject.

Trial or No trial money needs to be in your hand before you hand dog over.
Dog needs to be brought back in same condition it left in, if dog doesnt work out.

they were friends of a friend, so i figured it would be ok, boy was i wrong, and know the dog growls at me a little bit when i get near her. should i give her some readjustment time

That should never become an issue, if you buy a dog from me or anyone I know on trial the money is in my hands when you leave, if you cant afford to pay for the dog right then you wont leave with it, period. Friends or not that leaves WAY to many variables fir something to go south.

X2 Cash in hand or no deal. Orher than that, whats done is done. As far as the repo, contact the po-pos n c if they assist n if not, either go get the dog or cut ur losses n move on n dont do any kind of dealings with that person. |

Yea it's suppose to be money in hand before the dog leaves and if the buyer don't like the dog bring him back or make arrangements to swap money back for the dog. Both parties are suppose to be clear on trial period and if it's out of state if they are meeting half way or full ride for one. I've went and got dogs before and people not want to give me my money back for them or meet me half way like was said before.

Money up front. Friend of a friend or blood or joe blow don't matter. Once the man has ur dog u are playing catch up if u don't have cash in hand. If the dog gets killed u won't get ur money. If the dog is the best to ever take a track chances are u still won't get ur money. U have no signed notarized contract and without it the  ain't gonna do much because it becomes he said she said. Only let them go on trial with you. In your woods or there's but make sure your with them then collect the money at the end of the hunt or take the dog home
