Harry and his kids, Bo and I went on a great hunt this morning. We caught 2 good boars and doctored 2 good dogs. The first hog required too much traveling, swimming, dog doctoring etc, for pictures. Cowboy was the first victim, we emptied the staple gun fixing him up (he will be fine).....The next boar was jumped from a fallen tree, the chase no more started when we heard the unmistakable sound of a dog getting hit hard. The dog was Harry's baby girl Ginger.... It is amazing how the bay dogs turned to catch dogs after this happened, everyone loves Ginger. The boar did not go more than 200 yards and every dog in the pack had some hog in thier mouth, no catch dog was needed. He got to the dried creek bed and it was covered in blood, not the hogs. We rolled and tied the hog and Harry carried Ginger to the truck. We had the next battle on our hands...Ginger had her jaw at the throat cut (out of the cut collars relm of protection). She was bleeding and really bad, after lots of goss and staples along with steady pressure she was stabilized (she was standing on the way home). Some kids will go to school tomorrow talking about summer camp...

I think she is going to be ok, the kids had a ball along with dad who always enjoys a day off. We took two guys from the lodge hunting , struck the first boar on the colorado river, he swam and got bayed on the other side. He almost got me a couple of times. Bb had him caught but the boar was smart he kept holding his and bb head under water, my new 9 month old pup snatched him up by his head and pulled him to the bank for me. I didnt say he was a little pup, glad to have him in my pack. My kids are a blessing they enjoy the finer side of life in the woods
