Well I got contacted from a guy about 2 months ago about a big Barr that had been flipping feeders over and tearing stuff up. So we finally get a day picked out. We meet up about 7 am yesterday morning and start hunting. Dogs make a few 6-800 yd rounds and we get a bay, then a squeal. We get in there and they got a 130 lb boar stretched out. Get him caught and cut, the dogs roll out and bay a sow about 175 lbs, catch and tie her for meat. Loaded the dogs and hunt till about lunch catching a few shoats, but still looking for big boy. Get a bay going with 4 dogs. The hog broke and 3 dogs left and my 8 month old gyp came back to us, disappointed I loaded her up. We start easing toward the dogs as they were getting over a mile away. On our way to them my puppy starts going crazy, we figured a hog slipped out of the bay. So we cut her loose and she trailed about 1000 yds and it showed her treed. Well we were trying to figure out what to do with the older dogs. 15 minutes go by and she's still bayed. So we start heading towards her and decide we will come back and get older dogs. We get within 400 yds and she's hammering, all we had was two more 8 month old puppies out of the same litter and 2 young catch dogs. So we turn the puppies out to her and head in there with the catch dogs. We get within 20 yds and turn the bulldogs loose as it was pretty thick. The hog breaks before they get there and he makes it about 75 yds. Then they caught him, I get to him and realize it's him. I start to try to get behind him and he slings both catch dogs off and runs over my buddy behind me lol. Scary at first but funny now. He makes it about 75 more yards and it was a done deal. Got him out and weighed him. He was right at 410 lbs. Caught with two 35 lb bulldogs and bayed by a 8 month old gyp for about 20 minutes. I've caught only one other hog that I actually weighed over 400 and several others I think that were close but didn't weigh them. Sow Him on game camera The scales for proof Little mans first hog hunt with dogs Him posing for the camera He was thick across the back Headed out And a little video of catching and tieing him. Excuse some of the excitement lol http://youtu.be/QZSCJyHktw8

They go back a ways lol this particular cross has 1/8th Parker and the rest is just our stock. We've had this line going about 12 years now. The original male dog we started with had a great bloodline from way back. We just built off of that and they always seem to produce good pups that start early like she has.

The original dogs we started with are from an old man that has passed away now. He had been hunting forever and we bred our first gyp to his best male at the time. That's where we started our own little line.

No doubt! We have caught three 400#'ers in the last 3 years lol a crazy streak. And we might not ever break it again. Two of them are being mounted and should be ready for pick up within the month. We went with full pedestal mounts on both. I will try and get you some pics soon. Congrats again
