Had a pretty good size sounder right in between some cows. My dogs are broke so I led them up. I know the wind was right and they SAW the pigs but didn't go in. Pigs moved off a bit so We backed out and came around the corner...finally they go in and Bella snatches up a 15lb shoat.
Bella's the oldest of the group at 2 years...the other 2 are 16 months and 9 months.
Guess just the fact that they know their not suppose to mess with cows confused them?
Anyone ever bayed or caught right smack in the middle of a herd of cows?

Yes sir, cut a new bulldog one time about 70 yards out. Got out of the brush and saw the cd heading right for a herd of cows. I about had a stroke, they parted like the red sea to a bay right in the middle of them with a good size boar. Ive seen lots of times where pigs would run with cows.

Get em in close enough to know there's hogs some places we run the cows will chase the dogs out and the pigs stay in the middle till they feel safe and run like the wind

We were hunting and had 2 dogs who show treed a pretty good ways off shut the buggy down about 300 yards away and walked up on two dogs baying in some working pens with about 15 yearling heifers in there and my heart stopped, but was puzzled because neither of these two dogs trashed on a cow before. Anyways walked up there to get the dogs out and they were baying a hog in the chute. I guess the hog went in there to get him some feed, but never made it out.

We was drivin down the road and I have a pup that strikes out of back we drove past some cows and a bunch of round bales that were all messed up and I thought the pup was barking at the cows so I got out and whooped his a$$ we kept on hunting we came back by the same place about 30 minutes later and my old dog goes to whinning so I stop and let them both out and they ran over to the hay right n middle of the cows and go to hammering down! Come to find out their was 6 hogs layed up n he middle of the hay bales between all the cows we ended up catching a medium size sow I would never that they would of been right n the middle of all the cows!
