Ok I figured I would take a poll here.  I am thinking about buying some new snake boots.  I have a pair of Chippewa’s that lace up.  They don’t make them any more and I had to send them back 3 times because they started leaking.  I liked them but they leaked all the time and were as heavy as wearing ankle weights on my feet.  I would like to see what people are wearing and what they like to wear.  I know it’s a good bit of typing but if ya'll would take the time to fill out the little form I think we could get a good thread going.

Cut and paste into your post with any other comments you feel necessary.

The only snake boots I ever had were Rockys.  They were terrible.  Uncomfortable, lace-ups were unbelievably difficult to get on/off, and leaked like a window screen.  Sorry, I don't know the exact model of them, but hopefully I'll have better luck next time.  My father in law has been trying to talk me into a set of the Russell snake proof moccasins.  He has a pair & the're bad to the bone, but I just can't see myself spending $500 on boots.  Sorry, as far as reviews go this probably ain't the best.

I was shopping for a pair of those Danner Sharptails, when I ran across these very cheap in Cabela's Bargain Cave down in Buda.  For the price I figured what the heck I would try them, and I have been VERY pleased.  I would definately buy them again (and pay full price!)
