Got me a nice looking 9 week old pit puppy from the pound.. once I got her home I gave her a dose of nemex. Well the next day she is pooping out roundworms.

So my question is do I give her another dose or do I just give her another dose in 2 weeks?

Or does the nemex kill the woms and she will eventually poop em all out?

give it her for 3 days, then wait a month and do it again. there is a pinned topic at the top this section that has several pages of worming info. it may or may not help, but I do a 3 day run on the meds, wait a wk, hit them with another wormer for 3 days, wait a wk and again with another wormer if required, and then start the cycle over again. waiting the week gives the dog time to show if any, signs/problems from the wormer. giving a dog several different wormer at the same time could produce problems, but u wont know which wormer actually give the problem.

Nemex is pyrantel pamoate.....same exact thing as Strongid T.  No need to give more than once.

Safeguard and Panacur are the same thing and the ones you will use for thtee days in a row.  This is typically done on a wormy dog that can't seem to get cleaned up.  The three day deal typically isn't done as part of a routine worming regiment.

x2...Strongid is the same as nemex and nemex is watered down but the same price as strongid...you can worm 100 pounds of dog for 8 dollars or buy atrongid for livestock for 8 bucks or so and you can worm 1200 pounds of dog with it...I have been using strongid for many many years...it works great and you can give extra without any side effects...every now and then we must switch to something else because the worms will build an immunity to it as with any other wormer...
