Been on a decent roll of good hogs in the last few weeks with some buddies, but it's been hell on the dogs. Went a few weeks back and bayed some.  We caught two Barr hogs that were twins, and the one in the picture killed my buddies gyp, she was one helluva dog.  My pup, Cobb, rolled off, and him and another dog ran a boar for awhile, got close and we dumped the box cuz the hog was walking on them bad.  Sent the bulldogs and got him throwed and realized he had completely wrecked and gutted Cobb.  He's still recovering so hopefully it'll be a 100% recovery and he goes back to his normal self cuz I'm sure missing him right now on the ground.

Here's one of the two Barrs.

Here's the boar that messed my pup up.

We went again today and caught another good Barr hog.  He was caught in a rough spot in a deep creek, it was cold and nobody wanted to get wet, but we finally got him throwed.

I will say that yellow boar put my pup out for quite awhile, I'm surprised he even survived this cutting honestly, BUT that boar is gonna be a helluva Barr hog in a year or two, and I hope to get lucky enough to be on the hunt that bays him the second go round! Sure am glad I got some good buddies I could call and ask some advice on how to fix him up when I couldn't find a vet on a Sunday morning willing to do it.

Good deal Ben. Hope that pup heals up and get back to his old self for u.

He developed a hernia, so I took him to the vet and he had surgery yesterday to fix him again.  It's a good thing to, because his intestines has some nicks in that needed repaired so I got extremely lucky on him.
