Got on hogs when it was all over two dogs were at 1 mile... Drove around and got one but the garmin 220 said the other dog was 240 yards south... Buddy went in and walk right were the garmin said the dog was but there was no dog.... Any suggestions or has anyone had that happen?

I've seen them garmins be off about 30 or 40 yard but I would say if you have communication on the tracker and the collar that dog is somewhere within a 50 yard circle.

Yeah it happens, it's like the Garmin hangs up and won't track the collar. Sometimes it will update and it'll go back to tracking and then sometimes it doesn't ever pick back up. I've also had the Garmin tells we had a dog running at 650 yards and was steadily running and getting deeper in, and the dog is standing beside me. It's technology, it doesn't always work like it should.

I just had the same issue. It happens! Had a gyp out since last Tuesday and finally just found her today. She sure was happy to see me. He should turn up for you as long as he didn't get stolen.

This is the prime example as why you can't rely on a Garmin as your only tracking device! I run a radio collar(Wildlife) on all of my dogs in addition to a Garmin on all my dogs when they starting rolling out with these running hogs!

Was the collar still on him? I had this happen once. Thought he was Bayed according to the 320 but kept getting closer and no bay. Somehow his collar came off. I was on a reserve. Idk if some Jake leg took it off or a vine got it or what. Collar was laying n the woods came to dirt road and there was fresh wheeler tracks leaving. Idk of someone was gonna steel him and their conscience got the best of them or what.
