ETHD (along with everywhere) has people who don't appreciate people disrespecting the breed by spreading misinformation. And they're going around swearing by it like it's law. It's incorrect information about a breed who is already extremely incorrectly misunderstood.

Pitbull has 500 lbs of bite that's all your felling and why your having trouble breaking him off
Those are far from accurate tests. a dog biting at a stick vs a dog setting his teeth on another animal that every fiber in his body is trying to kill is two different things. Thats why a wild wolf will score high on those because they are biting to kill or for fear of their life where the domesticated dogs are biting for a treat and a atta boy. Totally different things.

to who ever dosnt like the bloodelines I threw out there and the ancestery guy. I realy don't care what you think. I breed for better dogs. the next dog has to catch a hog better than the last one, they cant be aggressive to humans or other dogs, and guess what 'I got'em'. you prolly have a half weimeer reiner/ half boxer and think its a pitbull. lol if it works for you use it, but don't expect to get another pup that catches like it when you breed it. what I breed produces consistant great catch dogs. HATE ON THAT. Im gone hunting

One very famous one that almost all of our modern day game dogs go back to.

To the person that started this topic, you say his brother is already catching 400lb plus hogs. I would like to see some pics of these big boys the way you said it is like this man has caught multiple hogs over 400lbs. I know a lot of hog hunters that are hog hunters that have never caught a 400 pounder. I myself have not biggest I ever put the handcuffs on was 392 and been hunting a pretty good while and that's through several dogs life spans and your dogs brother has already started catching 400lb plusers. And I have one more thing to ask mention. If y'all caught a 300lb hog the day you went and the other dog is already catching 400lb hogs on a regular basis. I don't see how the other dog lived to be 16 I mean most people that catch a lot of big hogs don't get to retire a bulldog to old age the odds just ain't there yes it's some that get to retire but if you do nothing but track hunt on big hogs it's just a matter of time before the bulldog don't come home. I would just like to see some pics of the 400lb hogs

What I wanna know is what is it inside of a pit bull that makes him want to grab a hold of something 5 times his size. What posseses him to do that. Don't tell me its cus he wanna please his owner or something My bull dog grabbed the first hog he ever seen ever since then he would go to bay and do his deal.
Whiskey use to make me grab ahold of something 5 times my size and I got BROKE JAW !! So instead of LOCK JAW lets call it WHISKEY JAW !

Im back temp. cuz its raining. I can understand what your getting at. I hat to see it for myself but the oldman is hunting in areas that have a bunch of big hogs. and I mean a bunch. and a uncommon amount of bar hogs. we rarely catch hogs less than 275. we once whent hunting 12 days strait tryna catch a sow and didn't catch nothing but big boars and bars. its weird. and about the bulldog I guess its luck, he has only been cut once and he is 16 years old. ill see if he will let me get the pics to post them.

So much ignorance in one post....... You are talkin to and about folks who have been around bulldogs longer than you and i have been alive and yes this is a fact, hell just last week jimmy was talking about good times he had in the 80's with quite a few well known bulldog men and Mrs. Krystal was a vet tech for quite some time with a pretty vast amount of bulldog knowledge herself. Your "lock jaw" hypothesis while funny is completely asinine and proves the point that you sir, have been misinformed.

I am not miss informed. lock jaw is just a term used to describe something. just like "in hold". realy you could just say biting the ear really hard and not letting go. but in the south most people just say locked on the ear. people take things to far. lol I just like to wire them up and listen to them talk. while I throw in truth and they throw back name calling like calling people (ignorant). when we are really agreeing just calling it a different name. tomato tom`ato.

This thread just went full retard.
I know nothing about game dogs. I love a good dog but I don't agree with fighting dogs. With that being said , you are full of sh it. I have yet to read a proper paragraph from you so I really doubt you have been breeding , or as you say breading , a solid line of dogs. If you want to sound like you know what you are talking about , research it a little first.

And for the record 'I don't catch bighogs all the time" he does. its all about the area you hunt. if the places you hunt have what it takes to make big hogs there will be big hogs. if there constantly eating on farms running off the cows and eating all the vitamins and feed they will get big. just like the one spot I hunt that has a bunch of hogs with long cutters. ive caucht a 150lb hog in that spot with 3 inch cutters do I know why. 'NO'. but I do know my cur dogs got cut up.
