This pic was taken 24 hours after with the blister fully set in. It didn't hurt while I was doing it but I tell you it burned pretty decent as time went on in the first 24 hrs. I held it on for 25sec thinking it would turn out like a fire brand but it didn't raise up at all. You can see it but it like I was thinking it would have turned out.

Grin Well Junior, why don't you heat up the same brand cherry red with fire and carefully place it over the
old one.  I bet it would raise up just like you wanted. Try to do it this week and post some pics.  Grin

wonder if it would come back white on real dark or black skin?
or just the hair maybe? thinking about it. i guess just the hair would be white if not held too long.

You can't heat a freeze branding iron, it will melt as it is made out of brass. I would have to order a new one and don't really feel like spending another $100. It shows up good enough that you can see it.

Look at the scars on the dogs Owl.  If they scar dark......so will your brand if you hold it long enough to kill hair follicles.

If not the hair will just grow back white.  On black haired dogs the white hair makes beter brands.

Brass melts at nearly 2000F, u aint gotta melt it, just bring it to around 1,200F. Then u aint gotta spend another $100 on another brander.

I tried a lemon/white hound and it didn't show up? I could see the outline of it for a while but after the hair grew back in to its normal condition it just blended back in. I held for 25sec so I don't know how long you would have to hold for to get a hairless brand off of a freeze brand
