I got nothing but the runaround from erwincomp. The collar was backordered and they didnt even think to tell me when i ordered. I called them to find out where the collar was and then they let me know it was backordered.they gave me another delivery date, collar still didnt arrive when they told me so i just cancelled the order. I found a local store around the house that sells them off of the shelf for $150 dollars. I feel much better when i can grab one straight off the shelf!

What area are you in that has a store selling them for $150.00 off the shelf? I know that I prefer to buy local when I can, but it was hard to justify paying the 199.00 plus tax for multiple collars at the stores in my area. Now,I did paid full retail for one collar at Bass Pro so that if I ever have to replace a collar, I can go there and exchange the collar, rather than send the collar to Garmin to be replaced.
I have made three separate purchases from Erwincomp.com each transaction went smoothly, though I did have them check stock while I was on the phone. They should have informed you of the backorder when you placed the order...poor business practice IMO

I ordered through Erwincomp also. They order arrived on time, but it was missing a memory card. I called them up and told them. They sent me another one, no questions asked. I am happy with them. Now on the other side, I have a buddy that is having problems with them now. His order, so far has not even been shipped according to UPS, but Erwincomp gave him a tracking number and said that the order has been sent out. I am wondering if it is on backorder. He has only been able to get ahold of them once on the phone and has spent the rest of the time on hold. Yesterday he called and left the phone on speaker for 3 hours.  |

I just got this email from a local company in sarasota fl. She is asking 485.00 for the dc30 and astro220. I have ordered a couple of things from her and so far the service has been good. I also talked to her on the phone and she said she is going to try to make big orders from garmin, so she can keep her prices competive, so it might not hurt to check in or call. Gulfcoastpetsupplies.com I asked her about beating erwincomps price. Well, I have a call in to my reps at Garmin but it looks like this guy(Erwincomp) is just trying to move a ton of stuff - I am slightly more expensive, but we include free laser engraved dog name tags, free bags of treats and we have them in stock. I also ship within 24 hours of payment, include insurance on the full value of the item and supply tracking... If you talk to her mention Hank sent you. Maybe she will give me a deal in the future if she hears that enough.  |

i just ordered 2 dc 30 collars from erwin for 304 and some change. Its hard to get them on the phone they have an email address and they respond to the email usually within an hour.
