I searched wireless fences and didn't see much.
So. Has anyone had any experience using the wireless fence systems to keep a small number of dogs in a yard area. I was thinking of setting up two separate systems for the eventual two dogs I want to keep in the yard (I live on 2.5 acres, no fence). Seems like a more economical solution (systems are about $350 each) than building two 15*10*6 kennels which I was planning. Plus aesthetically it would be nice not have two large kennels in my yard.
Does anyone have experience with these systems and do they work? Seems to good to be true.
I was concerned if the dogs get used to not going outside of 'area' how do you train them when they 'can' go outside of area.

x2 I would also like go know want to retire a couple to use as brood stock but scared to get one killed on the road. I have a buddy the uses one but he use it on a min pin and rat terrier mine are much larger would think it wouldn't work as well?  |

I had one at my old house, my lab walked through it when ever he wanted to. We put one at my dads old house and his bulldog would use it to scratch his back. IMO they aren't worth it for hard headed dogs, and ill never put one up again.

We have the petsafe wireless pifoo 12917
For are GSP. Works fine when she decides to get out of her parameter it doesn't take her long to make her mind up to get back in it!! She fast and wild and likes to stretch her legs out. Lol

We used to have one for our weenie dog but I had a collar on a catahoula that ran loose. He actually would stand at the edge of the barrier where he would be shocked. He seemed to enjoy it and I know it was working because you could see his neck twitching while he was getting shocked.

I had one installed by a guy down here with DogGuard and it will stop them cold. He guarantees it to hold your dog or money back.
