Can u use a regular medal brand that was used for hot branding to freeze brand?

They dont typically hold the cold enough to burn it in good. Just not enough transfer.

Do u think it will work on slick haired black cows. Buddy of mine is having trouble with neighbor trying to clam him cows.

Cannot testify to cattle.  Never freeze branded any. Can only compare apples to oranges.

Doesn't work well on dogs which have alot thinner skin than cattle...so.I would be skeptical.

But if you dunk em in nitro and leave them extra long .....maybe

There is a reason freeze branding irons are made out of brass and that is so that it holds the freeze until transferred to the skin. A regular iron will frost up and you would think it would work but the steel won't hold the freeze nor get cold enough.
