I like this trap but I am curious with one this large how you "trip" the door? Could someone explain the mechanics of it?

With these types of traps we usually use a guillotine-type door with a long trip wire. The trip is set at the very back of the trap, with lots of corn near the front and middle of the trap. That way, if there is a group around they will come in the trap and start eating. In time more and more come in and by the time they hit the wire there are hopefully a group in there.  Sometimes we put a push up door on them but I prefer the guillotine.

I had a trap like that out north of Dayton on a timber co. deer lease.  Caught 22 pigs in one setting.  Caught 45 total in about 3 months.  Manager of the club got so mad he banned trapping on the property.
