My 220 isn't picking up my dc40 passed 250-300 yards, my buddies 220 picked up the collar fine. I did the master reset. So I'm kinda stuck, any help would be appreciated.

Is it doing this all the time or did it just start? Did your buddy have a dog with your dog when they were out passed 250? I've had collars interfere with someone else's when the dogs get out a couple hundred yds. If this just started and you have not been having problems, I don't think the update is the issue. Are your other collars tracking okay past 250? You may consider deleting the collar and re-adding.

I think it's the antenna inside the handheld that broke loose. Collar works great with other collars and by itself, my hand held won't pick any collar up passed 300. Gonna get it fixed tomorrow hopefully

I had that problem a time or two.......wound up being the antenna was bad. I bought some long range ones from Conkey's and that solved it. You might also go into where the antenna attaches to the collar and clean all that really well....down to bare metal.....reattach and see is that helps.
