I have been hunting my brindle dog camo alot these past few weeks and I recently noticed he was limping occasionally and his front foot seemed to be bothering him. Last sunday when we got home I took a real good look at it and pulled a thorn out from in between 2 of his front toes, cleaned it up and sprayed it w/ vetericyn.......... kept a close eye on it all week and he seemed to be better, fast forward to this past saturday.....we were hunting and he started limping pretty good so I picked him up and we finished the hunt. got him home and went to lookin his foot over again thinkin maybe I missed something........well at some point saturday he lost a toe nail, when the dogs would bay/bark he would jump out of the buggy and haul ass to em but when we were just pushin em he you could tell it was hurtin him pretty bad so i quit huntin him.

Anyway, is there anything other than keepin the affected area clean that I can do to get him back up and runnin, I have other dogs so its not like I have to have him on every hunt but he works well for me so I don't want to see him sidelined for longer than either if I can help it. I don't want to or need to hunt him again until he is ready to go but I figured some of ya'll have dealt with this before and may know some shortcuts to gettin him healed up.

Any advice is appreciated, thanks in advance folks.

I had one bust a toenail pretty bad I put some cut heal on it and kept it clean and she was ready within a week wasn't 100% healed on the nail but it had grown back enough to not cause any limping or noticeable slow down. Nail was just short
