I don't sale many dogs when I do it's usually with friends of a friend thing so I some what know them and I've only posted 3 dogs ever on the Internet. I got a guy right now that wants to buy my dog off the Internet that's on the other side of the state. First off any time I have ever baught a dog I drive to where it is to pick it up. I've just assumed the same if I have a dog for sale the guy buying it comes to get it. He wants me to drive to meet him, nice guy I am I say alright ill meet you here it's about half way prolly 30 mins more for him but hey ... He says come on man you can come further than that. I right him back and say that's as far as I'm going bud sorry, and he hasn't responded. But I'm just sitting here thinking I don't get some people...( By the way this is in Florida not Texas I'm not on here to start anything just wonder how it usually goes for you guys buying and selling )

If I wanted a dog bad enough I would drive all the way and get it and would appreciate the person offering to meet a little of the way especially if it was a long drive.

Feel the same way as u do shotgun nowadays. Im not ups or fedex, come get it if u really want it. Had a guy ask bout my tracking system im selling and he ask if i would ship it. The number was from the dfw area, drive down and get it, its only a 2-2.5hr drive. I got a free pup from ole dub on here, which he is 3+hrs away from me and was in the opposite direction i needed to go, but yet i drove to houston, bsed a bit n the got on the road to new braunsfel and i even sent him $ for the pup bc nothing is free in the world. They want the item, come to me, i want the item, i go to them unless they want to meet somewhere in betweenon their offer. I have in the past given gear away AND spent my money to pay to ship it to them, but not anymore. If its free or a reasonable price, nut up, get in ur vehicle and cook some dinosaurs to come get it or u pay the shipping dont expect something extra for free

Why should I trade one tyrant three thousand miles away for three thousand tyrants one mile away? An elected legislature can trample a man's rights as easily as a king can!

No good deed goes unpunished.
I don't care how nice he seems, if he wants the dog, he can come get it on your terms. I tried to be nice- its easier being fair and stern. As soon as someone starts trying to talk me into something I don't want to do- Im through.

I think I'm just done with the Internet dog selling thing really, I'll still probably buy from someone selling if I have to but I know how to call and inquire about a dog without wasting their time. But as far as selling a dog ill just stick with swapping with the guys I know.

It's called self entitlement. It's running rampant in this country nowadays. People feel their time is more valuable than it really is. I don't see why anyone wouldn't want to drive all the way and see the dog first anyway.

Well if he didn't respond it should knock him off the list first of all IMO, going fwd you can always get a deposit 1st (tho if your an old school guy you probably don't do deposits), or like someone suggested have them use a "reputable/certified" transport. I say that b/c with piggy backin dogs you can't control the conditions. Someone puts that pup with a dog that has parvo or in an area that does then the buyer gets upset and says its your fault. Don't skip out on the transport, but let them pay for it obviously. Mabe select one or two transporters yourself that you want to use every time. Be stern on your requirements that they pick the dog up or pay for reputable transport that you have the right to turn down if it doesn't look right. JMO Remember in the end you'll be to blame and they'll be expecting their money back even if you had nothing to do with the in between.
