I have to many dogs and I'm cutting back is the reason for getting rid of them. The bluetick will bay a hog all day long she has struck 1 for me once and yes she is open. I have also tried her on coon and she will bay and tree one so she can go either way. She also throws good pups. She is about 2 1/2 years old.
Redbone will has been in bay pen and will bay but very loose, she will bay a coon good though, she is about 1 1/2 years old.
The BMC/pit/plott will catch any size hog but he is only a help dog he stays close range until he hears the bay then he will go in and help catch. His problem is he likes to try to fight but if you stay on his butt he won't fight. He is about 3 years old.
