Hello I'm from central lowa no hogs here but we hunt coyotes with trail hounds run to catch no guns .This is a very nice site with a lot of good information .Would like to hog hunt someday sounds like a blast . Thanks for looking Booney

welcome aboard !!   my family used to run yotes down here in texas , that is before the city folk moved into the country   lol  . lots of good times and met a few surprised old women when the yote would ball up under their house trying to get away from the hounds  GOOD TIMES !!!

Couple weeks ago we put one  by a house lady came out said holy mother of Mary and I said shut the door dogs were 20 feet from her front door lol

I used to live in Iowa. Resided there for 10 years. Moved back to the south in December. Miss the deer huntin already.

Ya this is a good site enjoy reading you fellas story hate hearing about your dogs getting killed but at least they are doing what they love we loose a few and get them tore up but not as much as you guys good luck hunting would love to go somewhere and see it done love hunting with dogs

We have running walker and July hounds me and a buddy have dogs together and do outside 2 day field trials in the summer . They hunt basically like coon hound but have more speed and endurance .We run our hounds year round have good cornfield races in the summer also thanks for the welcome guys

Sure would like to see some pictures of some running hounds, not many around now days.  They were more common when I was a kid than hog dogs!  Time sure changes things.

Just guessing from your screen name, are you from Boone?? I've missed the last two yrs, but before that, I've  been there bout ten yrs now for the IMCA Supernats. Best week of racing in America. I knew there was some good deer hunting up that way, but didn't know about much doggin action. Welcome to the board!!

Norwalk is not to far away .Yes I'm from Boone all my hunting buddies gave me the handle Lol. We used to race mods son in law races sport mod . If you come up this year pm me and I'll meet u out there
